Cine-Symphony, the Brand

Our films are born from the heart and soul of Johan de Meij's music. The scores inspired original stories by writer Dyan Machan. The story and music guide the visual interpretation through the artistic lens of director Jed Parker. The alchemy of these elements brings forth films that defy categorization and forge their own path. Our works create high drama without the distraction of dialogue, allowing stunning visuals to speak for themselves.

The genesis of Cine-Symphony is somewhat romantic. In the early days of their courtship, Johan de Meij dedicated his "Symphony No. 3 Planet Earth" to Dyan Machan. Its hauntingly beautiful melody stirred her such that she married him. She also thought this symphony screamed for a visual story. In a gesture of reciprocated love, she complemented his masterpiece with "Cine-Symphony Planet Earth.” The film tells the story of the Earth, pays homage to Gustav Holst, Mother Earth and the couple’s shared passion for the arts.
